4-H Youth Development

What is 4-H?

4-H is a community of young people across Kansas engaged in learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. Caring adults that support our programs are essential for youth to achieve their potential based on the guidance, respect, skills, knowledge and wisdom adults can share.

Why choose 4-H?

Kansas 4-H is dedicated to fostering a safe learning environment for project exploration, community involvement, and development of future leaders. To encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills, each club engages in a self-government with annually elected youth leaders. Specific project groups are also available as a way for youth with shared interests to meet and practice their skills.

Who can join?

Enrollment age for 4-H Members is from 7-18 years old. For ages 5-6 years, we have an introductory 4-H program called Cloverbuds. Adults are also welcome! 4-H would not be the organization it is today without the amazing volunteers that have donated their time and expertise.

How do I sign up?

See our new to 4-H page to get started or contact our office at (785)-742-7871.
